Planet g

A NEW PLANET!? This day just keeps getting better and better.

Check out the Article
http://www.tennessean.com/article/20100930/NEWS04/9300367/1970

This is really exciting. This planet is in another solar system not too far but not too close to it's sun. It could possibly contain water which = LIFE! I really hope there is life there. I've always hoped we'd find Extraterrestrial life in my lifetime. Maybe one day we might even be living on this new planet. Hopefully humankind won't destroy this one like we are our own.

Here's some interesting facts from the article if you're too lazy to actually read it:
  1. Planet g is about 3 times the mass of Earth.
  2. It is much closer to its star. 14 million miles versus Earth's 93 million
  3. It's so close to its version of the sun that it orbits every 37 days
  4. It doesn't rotate much, so one side is almost always bright, the other dark.
  5. Temperatures can be as hot as 160 degrees or as frigid as 25 below zero, but in between
  6. The planet circles a star called Gliese 581. It's about 120 trillion miles away, so it would take several generations for a spaceship to get there. {Sad news there :(  }
  7. Scientists believe that there are other planets like this one and Earth out there
I'm super excited to see what else we discover about this planet.

    I LOVE SPACE!! ^_^

    That's it for now. Adios

    What WHAT!?

The craziest thing happened at school this morning. I was driving to school and noticed that one perking lot was halfway blocked off. Probably because of a stupid football game or some shit like that. So I thought, "Fuck... it's going to take me forever to find a parking spot!"
But when I got to the other lot there where open spots EVERYWHERE!!!! The hardest part was deciding which spot to take. There were so many choices! I have never witnessed such a bizarre event! It was around 10:45 a.m. so it wasn't because I got there before everyone else. I don't understand how it happened but I was pretty excited.
And to top it off I feel pretty good about my Sociology test this morning. Today has started off pretty well so far, a contradiction to yesterday's shittyness. I'm just hoping it stays this way.

    Life

I love this picture. The older I get, the more that I see this is true. Sorry it's so small. I couldn't get it any bigger. If you have trouble reading the captions try hitting Ctrl + the "+/=" button to zoom in. It's worth the trouble, trust me. ;)
